Mi tutor ideal: aún estoy lejos de conseguirlo (My ideal tutor: I am still far away from it)

En el post de hoy vamos a hacer dos cositas: la primera, vamos a comentar qué características debe tener un buen tutor; la segunda, veremos como mi test de personalidad me coloca en ese aspecto. 

Bien, comencemos. 

Hicimos una práctica en clase diseñando a nuestro tutor ideal. Para mí, la característica más importante es la implicación y el compromiso con el estudiante. Al tutor le tienen que interesar los estudiantes, e intentar apoyarles y ayudarles todo lo posible. Tiene que acompañarles en su paso por la adolescencia, en sus dificultades con las materias o su inestabilidad social. 

Hay otros factores que también son muy importantes: la empatía, la escucha activa, la creatividad, la motivación, la innovación, la cercanía y el carisma. También es muy importante que luche por y con los alumnos para que todos puedan disfrutar de los mismos derechos. Que sea cercano, agradable y comprensivo es vital para que los estudiantes le consulten y le tengan como figura. 

Aquí, voy a poner a Juana, la tutora que diseñamos en clase, que recoge todas las características de un tutos ideal: 

Como segundo punto, hicimos un test de personalidad en clase y estos fueron mis resultados: 

El resumen de estos resultados es que me interesa más mantener las relaciones con los alumnos que las tareas en sí (misionero y conciliador complaciente). Sin embargo, también tengo rasgos de progresista y realizador, por lo que aún hay futuro para mí como docente, sólo tengo que potenciar estos rasgos.

In today's post we are going to do two little things: first, we are going to discuss what characteristics a good tutor should have; second, we will see how my personality test places me in that aspect. 

Well, let's get started. 

We did a practice in class designing our ideal tutor. For me, the most important characteristic is involvement and commitment to the student. The tutor has to care about the students, and try to support and help them as much as possible. They have to accompany them in their adolescence, in their difficulties with subjects or their social instability. 

There are other factors that are also very important: empathy, active listening, creativity, motivation, innovation, closeness and charisma. It is also very important that he/she fights for and with the students so that everyone can enjoy the same rights. Being approachable, pleasant and understanding is vital for students to consult you and have you as a figurehead. 

Here, I am going to put Juana, the tutor we designed in class, who gathers all the characteristics of an ideal tutor:

As the second point, we did a personality test and these were the results: 

The summary of these results is that I am more interested in maintaining relationships with students than in the tasks themselves (missionary and accommodating conciliator). However, I also have progressive and achiever traits, so there is still a future for me as a teacher, I just need to enhance these traits.
