IES Mariana Ortega: mi educación y mis valores (IES Mariana Ortega: my education and my values)

Buenos días a todas las estrellitas :D

Hoy os voy a contar mi vida un día más y os voy a hablar de cómo sería mi colegio. 

En clase estuvimos haciendo una actividad en la que, como consejo, creábamos un centro escolar, en el que definíamos lo que es la educación y nuestros valores como centro. 

Nuestro centro, en este caso, se llamaba el IES Harry Styles, ya que era una escuela de artes e idiomas financiada por Harry Styles. Si yo creara un centro, probablemente no lo llamaría así (a no ser que me lo financiara de verdad); le pondría de seguro mi nombre, porque es bastante bonito en mi opinión: IES Mariana Ortega (es broma). 

La definición de educación para mí es la transmisión de conocimientos y valores a los estudiantes. Esto significa que no solo me gustaría que ellos fueran capaces de comunicarse en inglés, de forma tanto oral como escrita, y comprender textos escritos y sonoros, sino que me gustaría llegar más allá. Me gustaría educarles en valores de respeto, de comprensión y de empatía hacia los demás, prepararles para el mundo del mañana e impulsarles a que disfruten y se cuiden. 

Es muy importante que los docentes sean conscientes de que nuestra educación va más allá de la transmisión de conocimientos de nuestra materia. Tenemos en nuestras manos diamantes en bruto que serán las personitas del mañana y por ello, tenemos una labor esencial.

Voy a hacer una lista de los valores que me gustaría enseñar en mi centro (el IES Mariana Ortega):

3. Comprensión
4. Empatía
5. Ayuda
6. Salud
7. Familia y amigos
8. Formación
9. Carpe diem
10. Curiosidad 
11. Ambición

Supongo que aun así, hay muchísimas otras cosas que me encantaría enseñar a mis alumnos y que aún desconozco o no sé expresar. Algún día, estaré delante de la clase y podré enseñarles todo aquello que tengo. Y estoy deseando que llegue ese día.

Good morning to all the little stars :D

Today I am going to tell you about my life one more day and I am going to talk about what my school would be like. 

In class we were doing an activity in which, as a council, we created a school center, in which we defined what education is and our values as a center. 

Our school, in this case, was called Harry Styles High School, as it was an arts and language school funded by Harry Styles. If I were to create a center, I probably wouldn't call it that (unless he really funded it for me); I would name it after me for sure, because it is quite nice in my opinion: IES Mariana Ortega (just kidding).

                                                                    

The definition of education for me is the transmission of knowledge and values to students. This means that I would not only like them to be able to communicate in English, both orally and in writing, and to understand written and audio texts, but I would like to go beyond that. I would like to educate them in values of respect, understanding and empathy for others, prepare them for the world of tomorrow and encourage them to enjoy and take care of themselves. 

It is very important for teachers to be aware that our education goes beyond the transmission of knowledge of our subject. We have in our hands diamonds in the rough that will be the little people of tomorrow and therefore, we have an essential task.

I am going to make a list of the values I would like to teach in my school (IES Mariana Ortega):

I suppose that even so, there are many other things that I would love to teach my students that I still don't know or don't know how to express. Someday, I will be in front of the class and I will be able to teach them everything I have. And I'm looking forward to that day.
